2026 Alaska Farm Bureau Photo Contest

Welcome to the 2026 Alaska Farm Bureau photo contest! The Grand prize includes $150 and printed photo displayed at the 2026 Alaska Agriculture Conference. The contest is open only to Alaska Farm Bureau members. The contest consists of two divisions: General Division and FFB Member Division. Winners of the FFB Member Division will receive recognition at the Annual Conference banquet alongside main contest winners and featured in the Alaska Farm Bureau newsletter, website, and social media. The theme for this year’s photo contest and the 2026 Alaska Agriculture Conference is “Keep Alaska Growing”. You may only upload one photo, and it must be original work. The deadline to enter is August 31, 2026, by 2 p.m. Alaska Standard Time.

Divisions

The Alaska Farm Bureau Photo Contest includes two divisions:

General Division – Open to Alaska Farm Bureau members (age 18+)

FFB Member Division – Open to FFB members ages 8–17

Both divisions follow the same theme and submission guidelines but will be judged separately.

What We Consider When Making Our Winner Selections:

We look for impact, creativity and originality, and storytelling. The submission should be technically well-done, sharp, with excellent lighting and composition.

Photos must have been taken in Alaska and made by the entrant in the calendar year of 2026. Photographs which have been obviously or overly altered with digital enhancements or composite imaging will not be accepted. Minor adjustments, including sharpening, contrast, and slight color or light adjustment are acceptable. If the judges determine that a photographer has overly altered a photo, they reserve the right to disqualify it.For a photo in which a person is recognizable, you must secure a model release from the subject or, in the case of a minor, the subject’s parent or guardian and provide it to Alaska Farm Bureau upon request. Photos that violate or infringe upon another person’s rights, including but not limited to copyright, are not eligible.Photos must be original work. AI generated images will not be accepted and will result in immediate disqualification.

How to Enter:

Only digital entries submitted through this form will be considered and accepted. Both General and FFB Division entries must be submitted through the same contest portal.

Entries that do not follow contest submission rules may be disallowed at the discretion of the Alaska Farm Bureau contest judges.

By entering the contest, entrants grant Alaska Farm Bureau a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or subsequently developed, for any use including, but not limited to brochures, website, social media and all other standard Alaska Farm Bureau purposes. Any photograph reproduced by Alaska Farm Bureau will include a photographer credit if space allows. Alaska Farm Bureau will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such uses.

Entry Deadline

All entries must be received by Alaska Farm Bureau by 2 p.m. Alaska Standard Time on August 31, 2026.

Judging

Judging of the annual contest will be conducted by select members of the Board of Directors of Alaska Farm Bureau.

General Division and FFB Member Division entries will be judged separately. FFB participants will compete among their peers within their division.

Winning photographs and selected finalists from both divisions will be showcased at the 2026 Conference. Decisions of the judges will be final.

The General Division will include a grand-prize winner, second and third place winners, and an honorable mention. The FFB Member Division will recognize top entries, with winners announced alongside the main contest at the Annual Conference banquet.

Notification

Winners will be notified of their status and will appear on our website in 2026. Alaska Farm Bureau reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion. Decisions of the Alaska Farm Bureau judges will be final.If we are unable to reach a winner within 30 days of attempted notification or have not received the requested high-resolution files, an alternate winner may be selected.

The Official Rules

ELIGIBILITY. The General Division is open only to Alaska Farm Bureau members age 18 and older. The FFB Member Division is open only to registered FFB members ages 8–17. Employees, board members and the immediate family (spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, daughter or son, regardless of where they live) or members of their same households (whether related or not) of such employees and board members are not eligible. By entering this Contest, you agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of Alaska Farm Bureau, which shall be final and binding in all respects. No purchase is necessary to win.

PROMOTIONAL PERIOD. The promotional period for The Contest begins on 3/15/26 at 12:01 a.m. Alaska Standard Time and ends on 8/31/2026 at 2:00 p.m. Alaska Standard Time.ENTRY. There is no cost or purchase required to enter The Contest, which must be entered via the Internet atwww.alaskafb.org. Only one photo per person will be allowed. If a person submits more than one entry, only the first will be considered. Entrants must select the appropriate division (General or FFB) when submitting.

WINNERS LIST. The list of winners will be displayed on the Alaska Farm Bureau website.

COPPA POLICY. In accordance with the Children’s Online Protection Policy, we cannot accept registration from anyone under the age of eighteen without appropriate parental/guardian involvement. COPPA provides protection for children while online and prohibits websites from accepting identifiable data from children under thirteen without consent.Participation in the FFB Member Division (ages 8–17) may require parental or guardian consent in accordance with applicable regulations.
