Alaska Farm Dog of the Year
The Alaska Farm Dog of the Year contest celebrates farm dogs and the many ways they support farmers and ranchers.
The Alaska Farm Bureau, with support from Alaska Mill and Feed, will recognize a grand prize winner, the 2026 Farm Bureau Farm Dog of the Year.
A panel of judges selected by AKFB will select the Alaska Farm Dog of the Year.
The owner of the Alaska Farm Dog of the Year receives an Alaska Mill and Feed gift basket and recognition at the 2026 Alaska Agriculture Conference and in Alaska Farm Bureau communications.

For the 2026 contest, the Alaska Farm Bureau, with support from Alaska Mill and Feed, recognize a grand prize winner, the Alaska Farm Dog of the Year.
Prizes include:
An Alaska Mill and Feed gift basket and recognition at the 2026 Alaska Agriculture Conference and in Alaska Farm Bureau communications.
Judging
A panel of judges selected by the Alaska Farm Bureau shall select the winner.
Judging of the contest will be based on nomination materials submitted. Desired attributes in the Farm Dog of the Year are helpfulness on the farm or ranch, enriching the farm family’s life and obedience.
Contestants agree that the sole and final judgment as to all matters concerning the contest and interpretation of contest rules are at the sole discretion of the Alaska Farm Bureau, and their board and staff.
Contest Rules
Nominations will be accepted through June 15, 2026. No purchase necessary to enter. Void where prohibited. By entering, entrant agrees to be bound by these official rules.
