Again this year, AFBF is conducting a special survey to track the cost of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Each year a squad of Farm Bureau members (volunteer shoppers) fan out across the nation to check retail prices for foods used to prepare a classic Thanksgiving dinner. The results are compiled for a national average price, reported in a multi-media news release. New shoppers are welcome from all states but especially needed from Alaska, Connecticut, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia and Wyoming.
If you have any questions or would like to participate as a volunteer shopper this year, send an email to Anna Burkholder ([email protected]). Volunteer shoppers will be asked to check prices Oct. 31 – Nov. 12.
