At the annual meeting in Homer, Alaska, in November, the Board of Directors re-elected Bryce Wrigley to serve his eighth year as President of the Alaska Farm Bureau.
Bryce is a barley farmer in Delta Junction, Alaska, raising both covered and hulless barley. He is a pioneer in high latitude no-tillage agriculture and owns Alaska Flour Company. He and his wife Jan have five children, all of whom still help out on the farm.
Lorne White of Kodiak was also elected as the new Alaska Farm Bureau Vice-President. Lorne and wife, Elana founded, and have worked Strawberry Fields Nursery in Kodiak since 1976.
